I would love it if you have any great recipes you'd like to share! Maybe I'll add them to August's menu...

I really like this idea. Are you able to stick to it pretty well? I think I might start my own menu because I always end up making something last minute and it's just chaos
Yes, we do stick to it pretty well. I always try to plan ahead of time when I know we have something to do and won't be eating at home. I also plan easy meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays since I don't get home until after 7:00.
If we do end up skipping a meal for some reason, we try to eliminate or push back the one that is in a "box or can" and eat it some time during the weekend.
We have saved a lot of money at the grocery store and by not throwing as much away as we used to! MUCH less waste when you actually have a plan and stick to it!
I have been checking out your menus too. I found you searching the web for monthly menu ideas. I am not great at sticking to it since my husbands schedule is unpredictable and I have two babies at home. But when I do it sooo makes life easier. Some of my staples are Quesadillas with refried beans (fat free), steak and a veggi of some sort, tacos, breaded chick cutlets with a veggie, fresh chopped veggies sauteed in olive oil garlic and veggie stock on pasta with fresh grated cheese, Marinated grilled chick on mixed green salad with shredded cheese, chicken sausage with peppers and onions on a sub roll (yummy!) and I like to do fish once a week if I can.
We also do ribs and chicken wings fairly often. In the fall and winter I do lots of roasted meals (chick, pork, beef)all in one pan with carrots potato and sweet potato, as well as stews. I love homemade beef stew!
Keep up the good work.. I love to read your menus for new ideas Christina
Hey! Ok, I am copy-catting you and trying this out monthly. Tim and I have been doing it every 2 weeks when we go to the grocery store. I assume that you still grocery shop more than once a month since you can't buy it all fresh that far in advance. Question, can you put links to some of the recipes you find, or will that be too difficult?
